This painting measures 36 x 36 with a 2.25 inch gold-leafed edge. I begin with graphite drawing on the wood surface, adding multiple layers of oil paint, washes, glazes, and metal-leaf.  Each of my paintings has about 30 layers.

"Black Swans"  is my newest series featuring 5 Blacks Swans, and Goldfish in a pond scene.  This series is inspired by planning my own koi pond in the garden this year.
