This painting measures 48 inches in diameter x 2 inches. I begin with graphite drawing on the wood surface, adding multiple layers of oil paint, washes, glazes, and metal-leaf.  Each of my paintings has about 30 layers.  The edges of this painting are also leafed.

"Blue Aviary" depicts the Budgee and Parakeet with layers of flora.
