Koi on Silver 24 x 24
This painting measures 24 x 24 with a 2.25 inch silver-leafed edge. I begin with graphite drawing on the wood surface, adding multiple layers of oil paint, washes, glazes, and metal-leaf. Each of my paintings has about 30 layers.
"Koi on Silver" is part of a long-time series of Koi paintings I have done. They are an imaginative interpretation capturing the movement and interaction of a Koi Pond.
